Location

Cambridge

Enrolment Fee

£3700.00 inclusive of VAT

Format
  • Pre-course webinars and reading lists
  • Face-to-face seminars

A unique opportunity to gain an introduction and hands on experience of sinus lift and block grafting procedures to facilitate dental implant placement, using cadaver heads at a state of the art surgical facility. There is a fantastic range of speakers with a wealth of experience to ensure each delegate gets as much help and support that they need.

This course is aimed at delegates who are largely confident with basic GBR procedures and suturing however we do have some flexibility to help consolidate these skills if required. If you feel you need to develop these skills more it may be worth attending the Implant Treatment Planning Course prior to the Cadaver Course – these courses link up well.

This is a 3-day workshop on sinus lifts and block grafting for dental implants in the Cambridge area.
The focus is on hands-on high-fidelity practical experience to introduce the general dental practitioner to advanced dental implant treatment.

The format will involve pre-course webinars and reading lists followed by a day of face-to-face seminars and 2 days of hands on experience on fresh frozen cadavers with 1 head shared between 2 delegates.

The course is comprehensive with broad background information provided from an evidence-based and pragmatic perspective to allow practitioners to safely introduce these techniques into clinical practice.

Priority will be given to delegates gaining hands-on experience of actual surgical procedures for themselves in a relaxed and supportive environment. Osteotomes will be used for internal sinus lifts and handpieces and piezo units will be used for external sinus lifts.

The teaching will be led by consultants in relevant specialties with supporting seminars from additional medico-legal and scientific experts. This is to provide context to the procedures from a clinical and practical standpoint to underpin the focus on surgical skills.

The course will be limited to 10 delegates in order to maximise the learning experience. As the course is limited to a small group, there is potential to adjust the content to meet individual learning requirements.

The cadavers have been tested for all infectious diseases including Covid-19.
