This two day hands-on course run at Lodge Training provides an insight into Mike’s unique approach to modern day ceramic.

Course Overview
DAY 1
Consultation: Conducting your exam including assessment of occlusion and biotype, what to look out for, formulating and costing a treatment plan, and communication to the patient.
Planning: Photography (oral and portrait), scanning, smile design principles, digital facially driven wax-up, lab considerations.
Trial smile: Unique stent, evaluation, modification.
DAY 2
Preparation (or lack of): Shade taking, guides, preparation principles, retraction, scanning. (Will touch on conventional ceramic preparations – protocol can be applied to all).
Prototypes: aesthetic and functional evaluation, communication with lab.
Fit: Try-in, adjustment and seating of ceramic, isolation techniques, cementation process.
Course Objectives
- Correctly assess the patient and produce an appropriate treatment plan.
- Understand facially driven smile design and its application in practice and how to communicate this to the laboratory.
- Understand how to correctly prepare prior to ceramic and provision of prototypes.
- Learn how to reliably cement ceramic and ensure longevity.
- Apply the GDC standards to maintain safe practice.

Aims & Objectives:
