Get Started with Implants
If you are a dental nurse that is new to dental implant treatment, have not had any formal training or would just like a refresher to ensure your protocol is up to scratch. This course covers the implant journey from the consultation to surgical and restorative phases plus everything in between, including equipment selection, record keeping, post-operative care and more.
On this course will have the opportunity to put in practice hands-on aseptic setting up techniques and place an implant on a model!
Course Content
- To recognise the importance of implant consultation in the patient journey and all the steps including surgical and restorative phases
- How to enhance skills to efficiently set up and prepare surgery for implant treatment
- Understand medical contraindications and risk factors in implant treatment
- Select appropriate equipment, instruments, and materials for implant surgery
- Understand and follow the correct treatment plan flow (surgical and restorative phases)
- Understand importance of record keeping, pre and post-operative instructions
