Katarzyna Gurzawska is currently an Academic Clinical Lecturer in Oral Surgery. She started her specialty training in Oral Surgery at the Birmingham Dental Hospital in April 2015 and has a special interest in implantology and bone regeneration, a discipline concerned with bone pathology.

Apart from her clinical work, she undertakes research in the fields of nanotechnology, osseointegration in oral implantology and bone tissue engineering, focussing on the causes and possible new treatments of bone pathology.

She also takes part in teaching BDS students in clinical Oral Surgery and Biomaterials in development and methodology in oral implantology.
