Khalid is a registered specialist in Restorative Dentistry, Periodontics, Endontics and Prosthodontics. He qualified from Glasgow University, having won the class medal in prosthodontics in 2000.

Khalid is a Fellow of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons. Following accreditation, Khalid gained consultant posts in restorative dentistry in Birmingham and Peterborough in 2008 where the majority of patients under his care require a multi-disciplinary management with surgeons and orthodontic colleagues for their oral rehabilitation.
