A practical course for dental nurses who want to build confidence in supporting patients and clinicians throughout implant treatment.
Designed by implant nurses for implant nurses, this course combines expert-led teaching with hands-on practical sessions. The day follows the patient journey from consultation and assessment through surgery, aftercare and restorative appointments.
You’ll practise key aspects of surgical preparation and implant placement, while exploring the dental nurse’s role in patient communication, aseptic technique, instrument care and follow-up.

What You’ll Learn
- Hand hygiene and different techniques for donning and doffing
- Surgery zoning, set-up and aseptic preparation
- Instrument care, post-operative clear-down and waste management
- Surgical kit and instruments used during implant treatment
- Implant placement, including the drill sequence and motor set-up
- Patient assessment, contraindications and common pre-operative questions
- Post-operative care and how to respond to patient FAQs
- Restorative appointments and sequencing after implant placement
