Matthew Brennand Roper

From a family of medics, becoming a health care professional was inevitable. After qualifying from Bristol in 2007 with distinctions and awards in academic and clinical dentistry, I spent time in practice before heading back into the hospital environment. Rotations in Restorative Dentistry and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the Bristol Dental Hospital followed by the Royal London and St Bartholomew’s Hospitals provided a wealth of experience in specialist and general dentistry, cancer therapies, facial deformity and trauma. I was successful in winning the only Prosthodontic Specialist Registrar post in the UK in 2010 and have lived and worked in Scotland ever since.

I finished seven years of full-time specialist training in 2017 and am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. I have been invited to speak nationally and internationally and have published articles in globally recognised, peer reviewed publications.
