Nicola Ritchie

Dr Ritchie qualified in 1990 from Guys’ Hospital. She attained her Fellowship to the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1994.

Dr Ritchie has, until recently, run her own large private dental practice. Her special interest is in treating complex restorative cases, both dentate and on implants, full mouth rehabilitation, treatment of the worn dentition, headaches, TMD and bruxism.

This interest has come from her exposure to a variety of cases over her career; she has trained with the International Partnership for the Study of Occlusion (from 2001 to 2007) and has twenty years experience of training and mentorship in Orthodontics, often using pre-treatment orthodontics to align before establishing occlusion and dealing with wear.

Dr Ritchie is an active member of BACD, a long standing user of Cerec, and her successful use of hard and soft tissue lasers on a patient was featured in an article in the national press. Her holistic approach to helping patients comes from a maxillofacial surgery background, followed by 10 years of oral medicine. She has worked with Professor Challacombe at Guys’ Hospital.
